Ok………..So I was going to avoid getting dragged into a debate about Lady Gaga’s (lack of) talent but simply cannot fight the inevitability of this discussion……..

Am I a fan of Lady Gaga?….Not particularly…….Do i think she is a great artist?……not particularly……Do I think she is the one and only legitimate heir to Madonna’s throne?……Absolutely!

Lady Gaga is a perfect example that style will always outsell substance and talent every day. What I personally don’t get is how someone with an obvious talent for songwriting insists on going the lowest common denominator route?!

She is a marketing dream and has unapologetically been so…….as well as being a GENUINE ally to the gays (props for that!)………..but anyone who can write what is intrinsically a touching love song and then incorporate “Ra ra-a-a-a, Ro-ma-Ro-ma-ma, Gaga-ooh-la-la” in order to shift units is definitely compromising somewhere………you decide!

So…….let’s get this s*it storm started!

So……in case you’ve been living under a rock you would know that yesterday Lady Gaga’s self described “EVENT” occurred in the pop music world, with the unveiling of the full length movie-spoof style video to her duet with Beyonce entitled Telephone.

I know all my fellow gays are going to have me executed for saying so……….but at least OUR Divas actually WERE ground breaking, and original!…….Oh…….did I just have my very first “When i was a young girl” moment?
